What is a Thin Client?

A thin client is a low-cost, centrally-managed/network computer devoid of CD-ROM players, diskette drives, and expansion slots. Although the term usually refers to software, it is increasingly used for computers, such as network computers and Net PCs, that are designed to serve as the clients for client/server architectures.

Application   

Thin clients can be used in:

  • Cyber cafe for  administration, payment of  Tuition and  controlling access to network/resources.

  • Companies and Hospitals for  Easy networking between office suited, Better security access control access to network/resources.
