What is GNU/OS Linux, Open BSD?
GNU is a recursive acronym for “GNU's Not UNIX”. Variants of the GNU operating system, which use the Linux kernel are now widely used; though these systems are often referred to as “Linux,” they are more accurately called GNU/Linux systems.
Linux is a free Unix-type operating system., developed under the GNU General Public License.
Open BSD project produces a FREE, multi-platform 4.4BSD-based UNIX-like operating system. It supports binary emulation of most programs from SVR4 (Solaris), FreeBSD, Linux, BSD/OS, SunOS and HP-UX. It is developed by volunteers.
Application
These can be used in orgainsations for easy networking amongst and within office suites.

License free and cheap.
Low maintenance.
Complete system sources are available to everyone. As a result, a user who needs changes in the system will always be free to make them himself, or hire any available company or programmer to make them for him.
Schools will be able to provide a much more educational environment by encouraging all students to study and the system code.
